Hey Kids, Let's Cook Cookbook Recipes - Series 2

Chunky Apple Fruit Topping

2 golden delicious apples

¾ cup water

3 Tablespoons brown sugar

½ teaspoon cinnamon

raisins, cranberries, toasted nuts (optional)




 


Directions:

1. Peel and slice the apples.

2. In a medium size sauce pan add the apples, water, and brown sugar.

3. Heat the apples on medium high until the apples soften, and breakinto bite size chunks.

4. Remove from heat, and stir in the cinnamon, (you may also use a potato masher here).

5. Top your French toast with a scoop of chunky apple fruit topping,and sprinkle with raisins, cranberries, and toasted nuts. Yum!
