Berry Topping

(Makes 6- ½ cup servings)
2 cups water
2 cups strawberries (simmered slowly with the water, then remove the berries leaving a red, colorful clear liquid)
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
2 cup fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, or blackberries

Directions:
1. In a small sauce pan combine the water and 2 cups strawberries.
2, Simmer slowly for approximately 10 minutes.
3. Strain the berries and toss away. A red, colorful clear liquid should remain.
4. Add the sugar and cornstarch into the sauce pan and heat over medium high heat. Use a whisk and stir until the liquid thickens and becomes translucent.
5. Cool, (for approximately 30 minutes), then add 2 cups of your favorite fresh berries. Yum!
